IONIA. Miletos. Circa 350-325 BC. Drachm (Subaeratus, 15 mm, 3.54 g, 12 h), a contemporary plated imitation, Diopompos, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ΔIOΠOMΠ[OΣ] Lion standing left with his head turned back; above, star; to left, monogram of Miletos. Cf. Deppert 237-45 and SNG Copenhagen 960 (for prototype). Some deposits and with breaks in plating, otherwise, good very fine.
